About the Meeting

The 2025 MOGA Annual Scientific Meeting will bring Australian Oncologists together to discuss, learn, and plan as we pivot further into the rapidly expanding field of cancer immunotherapy. The meeting Beyond the Checkpoints – Navigating the Immunotherapy Revolution, will be a timely opportunity to explore how immunotherapy has not replaced, but has enriched cancer care alongside more established treatment approaches. The meeting will draw national and international experts together to face the dual challenges of immunotherapy failure and immune-related adverse events. Sessions will provide updates on key clinical advances across major cancer types, and cover the insights needed for attendees to stay ahead of the next wave of immunotherapeutics that lie Beyond the Checkpoints. How clinicians navigate the ever-changing treatment options, moving goalposts of survival, and access to evolving standards of care will form the central focus of this year’s professional sessions.

As the peak national scientific forum for Medical Oncologists, the 2025 meeting will host a comprehensive mix of scientific and professional sessions including dedicated trainee and YOGA content, oral and poster presentations, an extensive Industry Exhibition, and networking and social events headlined by the Annual Meeting Dinner.

Submit an Abstract

MOGA is offering travel awards to advanced trainees and young oncologists (within 5 years of Fellowship) to support their attendance at the 2025 MOGA Annual Scientific Meeting. Eligibility is exclusive to MOGA members.
Award recipients will receive AUD $1000 to assist in covering their expenses (airfare, accommodation and registration) to attend the meeting.
Recipients will be selected on merit based on the following application requirements:
1. Covering letter from the applicant outlining the anticipated professional benefits from meeting attendance, noting details of any abstract the applicant has submitted to the meeting and/or that has been selected for the Poster Display or an Oral Session as part of the meeting;
2. Full curriculum vitae including details of training, awards and prizes, publications and meeting presentations; and,
3. Letter of support from the applicant’s department head on the applicant’s suitability for receipt of an award.
APPLICATIONS OPENING SOON
Each Abstract Award provides funding of AUD$2,000 to support the recipient’s professional education and research. Eligibility is exclusive to MOGA members.

- Best Oral Presentation by a Medical Oncology Trainee
- Best Oral Presentation by a Young Medical Oncologist (within 5 years of receipt of Fellowship)
- Best Oral Presentation by a Medical Oncology Consultant
- Best Poster
